DIY Montessori Dancers Mobile

The DIY Montessori Dancers mobile is the fourth in the line of traditional visual mobiles. You can offer it to your baby around 8 weeks (every baby develops in a different pace so observe your child).  It is made of four stylised forms representing human figures. When the Dancers mobile is in motion, the figures look like dancers moving delicately through the air. It is truly a wonderous sight to watch the four figures ‘dancing’ in the slightest air current. As they are made of shiny, holographic paper, they reflect the light like diamonds. Each figure has three elements that move independently from each other.

Babies can’t seem to get enough of watching the slowly moving shiny shapes! I have seen babies completely stop all movement and just stare at the dancing figures with an open mouth, without moving a muscle! The colour contrast, the reflection of light and the elegant, graceful motion of the Dancers all conspire in catching and holding your baby’s attention.
