DIY Montessori Bell Rattle kit
The DIY Montessori Bell Rattle kit is a classic wooden educational Montessori material. The shiny bells capture and reflect the light around them, attracting your little one’s eyes to them. This helps them to understand where the sound is coming from. When the rattle is shaken, the bells make a soft, jingling sound, which develops auditory skills. The wooden handle is just thick enough that it strengthens the muscles in those cute little hands and encourages grabbing and holding for an extended period of time, and passing from hand to hand, making babies’ crossing their midline. Thanks to the shape of the bells, even when it is dropped, it doesn’t roll far away so your little one is motivated to roll and crawl.
Even though on the photos the length of the wooden dowel is 12 cm, I made it shorter. The 10cm-long dowel is easier to hold and better fits to a 3-month-old baby’s hand. This DIY kit is so easy and quick to put together, it’s done it 5 minutes!
Important! You will need pliers to make the Bell Rattle. You’ll need them to be able to open up the eye hooks. Also, be aware that this is NOT a mouthing toy. When you see your baby putting a bell in their mouth, please gently take it away from them to avoid accidents.
This DIY Montessori Bell Rattle kit includes:

– 3x 13.5mm x 6.5mm silver hook eyes (one spare)
