This gorgeous crocheted Montessori Gobbi mobile kit is one of the most well-known Montessori mobiles. This the new ‘Transformer’. It transforms to your baby’s developmental needs! Two mobiles in one! When this Montessori material arrives to you, it looks like an everyday visual mobile. Just like the painted version, this baby mobile also consists of five, ascending balls of the same colour, but in different hues. The difference in shade encourages close observation and assists in colour discrimination. First babies focus on the darkest colour, which hangs closest to them. Then, as their sight develops, they slowly ‘discover’ the rest of the balls, the lightest colour being the most challenging one. But!

This mobile is so aesthetically pleasing to look at, the balls are just so tempting, that you’ll soon observe your baby starting to reach for them and trying to bat them. When this happens, just cut the yarn off the spheres and thread them on the transparent elastic cord. This way you turn the visual mobile to tactile. Now let the fun begin!
